The “60 Women of STEAM: Coloring Book for all ages!” celebrates and spotlights 60 women who have performed outstanding feats in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). Many times these women faced gender-based hurdles, but through their diligence and passion, they were able to be instrumental in innovation in their respective fields.

These 60 women paved the way for many of us and knowledge of their contributions should not be overlooked.

Dr. Nadya Marie Sotnychuk
Hello I am Nadya Sotnychuk! I received my Ph.D. from Western Sydney University. My Doctoral research focused on avian acoustics and how vocalizations can impact breeding success in a small Australian flycatcher, the Grey Fantail (Rhipidura albiscapa). As a field ecologist, I engage in many aspects of avian ecology. My thesis focuses on song rate, song typing, predator-prey interactions, nest placement, and their relation to avian survival.
I am now looking for my next research/teaching opportunity. I have a lot of experience and consider myself an interdisciplinary researcher who uses eclectic approaches in my teaching and research. Additionally, I pride myself on being inclusive and adaptable. I make a great addition to any team and look forward to my next opportunity!

Which includes highlighting many women who have not gotten recognition as well as learning about their struggles paving the way for women and minorities in the future!

Recent Book Publications:
On June 11, 2023 I published a children's book I started 2 years ago (May 8, 2021).

I am happy to have worked on this project with my uncle who is an amazing illustrator, and my aunt who helped edit it along the way.
